1. Last Sunday I wrote my weekly posts early, so that I could concentrate on the Chiefs in the Superbowl. It was not a good game for Kansas City. I was sorry they lost, but I can’t argue with anyone who says the Eagles deserved that win. They came to play, and they did. I’m sure a lot of football fans will talk about what all happened, but the bottom line is they outplayed us and deserved the win. I didn’t see the halftime show, so I can’t say anything about that, but there were many commercials I loved, so I still had a good time.

2. The weather reports were saying that this weekend would be snowy and cold. The snow didn’t really materialize, but just in case we went to the grocery store on Friday evening and hunkered down all weekend. I made a big pot of chicken and noodles, and we spent a quiet weekend in with comfort food, a playful cat, and Premier League soccer, Great British Bake Off, and Food Network (including the start of this year’s Tournament of Champions!). I’m just sorry this weekend is almost over.

3. For Valentine’s Day, the love of my life got me chocolates from Christopher Elbow, artisan chocolatier here in Kansas City, and the ones I’ve picked out to eat so far have been so good! I especially loved the Hugo Tea Earl Gray Chocolate. I would love an entire box of those! But honestly, there is not a bad one in the box. Happy Valentine’s Day to all the oranges in my life! Love you guys!
