1. There have been some rough weeks lately at work, and we're finally through the worst of it. Changing over a major software system is never easy, but we've gotten a lot done over the past several months. We still have some more work to do, and there will be 2 or 3 more super stressful weeks later this year, but I think we might be through the worst. And better yet, we have some time to breathe right now. Which brings me to . . .
2. A 4-day weekend! I have needed some extra time off so much! It's not a full week, or a real going-out-of-town vacation (can we really leave the cat for that long? I'm not so sure), but it's a really good start. So it's Sunday night, and I still don't have to go to work tomorrow. I am a very happy girl!
3. My boyfriend got a big new Dutch oven for us, and right now he's making a big pot of short ribs to serve over pappardelle pasta. I am so lucky that I have a boyfriend who not only cooks like a dream but makes a point of making some of my favorite foods. I am so grateful to have him in my life. It took me a long time to find him, and I can't believe how amazing he is and how fortunate I am to be at this place in my life with him and with our cat Jesse. I am a very, very, very lucky woman!
