Recently finished: I just finished Clinton Kelly's book of personal essays that comes out this week. It's fantastic, and I can't wait to talk it up on Tuesday. But if you're a big fan of his from The Chew or from TLC's What Not To Wear, seriously consider picking this book up. It's so wonderful! I also took a year off from my annual rereading of Bridget Jones' Diary to read instead Bridget Jones' Baby. It was absolutely lovely and brought to mind one of my biggest regrets in life: there are only 4 (so far) Bridget Jones novels! Helen Fielding, we need more! Don't get me wrong, I love Olivia Joules and though I haven't yet read Cause Celeb, I'm sure it will be fantastic as well. But I need more Bridget! She is the fictional character I wish I could be. Only I can't. So I need more of her. Please work on this for me!

Currently reading: Well, listening to Mort(e), about the cat who is an assassin. It's darker than I thought it would be, and while listening to Bronson Pinchot is always a fabulous experience, he reads this one slowly and deliberately. So it's taking some time to get through. I'm also reading Everything You Want Me To Be, a stunning thriller that came out last Tuesday. I haven't gotten very far yet, but what I've read is powerful and gutting. This is a book people are already talking about. And speaking of that, tomorrow's post is about another thriller that people are already talking about. Come back tomorrow to see what it is, and then go look for it in your favorite bookstore Tuesday.

Up next: A lengthy book about the Marx Brothers during their vaudeville days that starts out charming (I may have peeked at the first few pages already). I have a novel about Italy, an Irish cookbook. and a mystery from celebrity attorney Marcia Clark.
