1. It’s coming up on a new season of television shows, and while I’m sorry that the WGA is still on strike, I’m so happy to see some of my favorite shows coming back. The Amazing Race, Hell’s Kitchen both have new seasons starting next week. There’s a new season of Unforgotten in PBS. And of course, Premier League and Bundesliga soccer are back. And Husker football. I am ready for comfy weekends spent on the sofa!

2. Last week was busy, and this week will be crazy busy also. But this weekend was restful and peaceful. I am so happy and feel so lucky that I have a home that restores me body and soul. I am definitely in the place where I belong right now.

3. After a nasty sinus infection took me out a couple of weeks ago, I finally got a chance to get together with my family and celebrate with fried chicken and chocolate cake. (Hint: I am not actually 35.) It was lots of fun! And who doesn’t love cake?
