1. There are chicken parts roasting in the oven. It’s not a whole chicken, just a couple of leg quarters and a breast, roasting with potatoes and carrots, celery, onion for flavor. I also got a package of poultry seasonings, fresh rosemary, thyme, and sage, to put in. As soon as I opened the fresh herbs, it smelled like Thanksgiving. I am so excited to see how this turns out, and to smell that roasting chicken for an hour or so.

2. Football is on, so it must be fall, right?

3. For my recent birthday, I got a new welcome mat for the front door. It makes me smile every time I come home. It may not be nice, but it is honest.
