1. Recycling. There was a recycling event for Earth Day Saturday, and we were able to recycle 4 dead monitors and an old television for only $5. There were big piles of electronics, stacks of mattresses, and I know that they were also collecting expired medications. It felt so good to clear those old electronics out of the basement, and even better that an army of volunteers helped us and hundreds of others do it responsibly.
2. I got a new iPhone. I am finally up to the double digits! It’s not the latest, but it was affordable, and it’s a definite upgrade. It has more storage space (more books!) and will hopefully make my life easier.
3. I have started snacking on Cheerios. They’re easy to grab, nutritious, and come in a lot of different flavors. And it makes me feel like a toddler, which is unusual. but not entirely bad.
