1. Woke up this morning to a world in white. We didn’t get enough snow to cover everything, just a layer of white on most surfaces. It was so beautiful. But it was wet enough to be swept off the car easily, which is awesome!
2. I made meatloaf for dinner tonight, and Brad made his mashed potatoes. He makes the best mashed potatoes I’ve ever had, so it felt like a celebration (his secret: a ricer, whisked with butter and cream). I told him a few weeks ago that I am thinking of officially becoming a tatertarian. So it’s not that I only eat potatoes. It’s more like I finally acknowledge how much I enjoy potatoes with almost every meal. Potatoes are magic, and I think it’s time we give them their due.
3. This was my sofa-mate for the Chiefs v. Jaguars. We were very excited by the outcome, as you can see. I may have gotten an indignant squeak near the end of the game, as I was overly vocal about an interception, but otherwise I was acceptable as a watching mate. I don’t really understand why people leave home and wait in long lines, pay parking fees, stand too close to a bunch of strangers in the cold and the snow, have to listen to them all scream so loudly Arrowhead holds the world record for the loudest stadium, just to watch the game. I mean, not everyone can have a seat as good as mine, I understand that, but I’d still much rather be home.
