1. Finally, finally, starting to feel better. Taking those 2 days off from work helped knock out the sinus infections, and my body is putting itself back together again. I’m still a little run down from being sick for so long and stressed for so long, and my anxiety is still a little easily triggered. But things are looking up. Tasks are getting done. Messes are getting cleaned back up. It’s slow going, but it’s going. I’ll take it.

2. Night Court is back. Starting Tuesday, it will be back on prime time. It won’t be the same as the original, but John Larroquette is back, and any time that happens is a good time. I’m sorry that Harry Anderson is no longer with us to be the judge, but I’m a big fan of Big Bang, so I think it will be fun to see Melissa Rauch in the role. I would also like to say that the one time I served on jury duty, we elected a nice postal worker as the foreman primarily because his name was Harry Anderson, so clearly Night Court touched a lot of people through the years. (Our Harry Anderson was also a good guy and served with excellence as jury foreman. Couldn’t do anything about the expired sodas they gave us or the way that the county wouldn’t pay for our parking, but it was certainly an interesting experience.)

3. For Christmas, I asked for and got a mini bundt cake maker, a little appliance that plugs in to the wall and makes cakes. I mean, I still have to make the batter, but isn’t it adorable? I love its tiny size, and I can’t wait to try it out. This is not me in the photo. I borrowed the photo from the Target website, where these are on sale along with other tiny appliances by Dash. I feel a little bit like I finally got the Easy Bake over I never had as a kid. Bake all the cakes! [Or you know, as many as I feel I can reasonably afford now that the price of eggs has shot up. Anyone want to time share a chicken? I don’t need fresh eggs every day, but a few a week would be amazing.]
