1. I’ve been struggling with bronchitis and a double sinus infections, so I took a couple of days off last week. I got some extra rest and just got to enjoy the warmth and comfort of home, and that was what I needed. I could really use another 6 months or so (or 20 years), but at least I got a short breather before heading back to work.
2. I wanted the start of this year, especially January, to be restful and comforting. Last year did not end well, and I needed some sofa time with a comfy blanket and a big stack of good books. I found this blanket on Amazon, and I thought it looked warm and soft and comfy. And it is. I spent my two sick days last week underneath it, and today, someone else decided that it looked warm and comfy too. But it’s hard to be mad at a napping kitten that looks that adorable!
3. That guy! Tomorrow is the day he turns 6! How is it possible? He has been such a blessing since we first brought him home from the shelter, and every day with him in an adventure of the best kind. Love you, DonDon! Happy birthday!
