1. A new Amazing Race started last week, and not only did they start in London (loved it!), they’re heading to Scotland next. I am excited! If I were traveling the world these days, those are the first two places I would go too!
2. This last week we lost Peter Bogdanovich. While I realize some of his personal decisions may have been questionable, he did make some films that I love. What’s Up, Doc? is fantastic, as is Noises Off. They All Laughed is strange but enjoyable, as is The Cat’s Meow (Eddie Izard’s Chaplin is phenomenal!). And I have always thought that The Thing Called Love is an underrated gem. He lived a long life, and he made some thought-provoking art, and he will be missed.
3. This guy! He turned 5 today, and he got his own cake (he only got a few bites) and new ribbons to play with. Because he loves a good ribbon! DonDon has brought so much happiness, peace, joy, and love in these few years that we’ve gotten to enjoy our time with him (this March is our 3 year anniversary of his adoption). He is a ball of energy, a master napper, and the biggest goof I have ever known. And I can’t imagine life without him!
