1. New season of Amazing Race starts Wednesday! I am excited! And there are new shows from Gordon Ramsay, Alex Guarnaschelli, Guy Fieri, and Steve Harvey as a judge. That should be lots of fun. It helps that I love the small claims court shows and food competition shows. And Amazing Race shows. January will be some good tv!
2. Things feel less chaotic this weekend. We made it through all those big holidays, things are calmer at work for me, and I just felt like I could breathe a little and get on top of things instead of feeling behind so much. So I am prepped for the week, bills are paid, and I’m ready to get 2022 started.
3. I am happy to put 2021 behind me. I know a lot of people have been upset at how Covid has affected us all, and wants to get back to “normal.” Honestly, my life didn’t change all that much. As an introvert and a homebody, I really didn’t mind staying home more. And I did lose some family members, but not from Covid. I’m not going to say that it didn’t make any difference to me, because that’s not at all true. But when I look forward to this new year, I’m not talking about getting past the virus. I just want my family to be happy and healthy, and to have a peaceful year. I’m not big on resolutions, because they make me feel lazy or not good enough, and that’s not helpful. But in trying to make 2022 more peaceful, I do have 2 goals I want to reach. I want to sleep more and read more. I want to create a peaceful home, and I feel like I can do that best if I’m well rested and at peace. That is what I want for 2022. Also, I would not turn down millions of dollars. Just saying.
