1. Not the MLS playoffs. Sporting KC lost today, to a last minute goal from Real Salt Lake in stoppage. And while this wasn’t their strongest showing, I am still so proud of my Sporting guys and grateful to have had such a great season with them this year. I can only hope that while they are disappointed with the outcome of today’s game, they know that they are still heroes to us fans, and that they enjoy the holidays and their time in the off-season. I still believe!
2. Small Business Saturday. I pretty much ignored Black Friday this year, but I didn’t want to let SBS go by, so we headed out to my favorite small businesses, Rainy Day Books (obviously) and Fairway Creamery, for new books, a cute cat puzzle, and doughnuts and ice cream. I also stopped by a small local coffee shop and bought some excellent pastries. I love shopping local, and I love shopping small!
3. Surprise pretzels! A good friend surprised me with a box of soft pretzels that just need to be popped into the oven for major deliciousness. That is definitely something to be grateful for!
