1. Getting things done. At work, we finished getting our round of catalogs to the printer, so things will be less pressing for a couple of months. That will be good. And late last week, we took care of some family issues that had been weighing heavily, or at least started things moving in a forward direction, so that should help too. I am looking forward to some stress easing over the next couple of weeks.

2. New fall cookbooks! If you’re not yet keeping track, grab a pen, or your phone to start this list. Out already is Scott Conant’s Peace, Love, and Pasta as well as Beat Bobby Flay and Trisha Yearwood’s Trisha’s Kitchen. Out very soon is Lidia Bastianich’s A Pot, a Pan, and a Bowl; Dorie Greenspan’s Baking with Dorie,; Michael Symon’s Fix it with Food; Rachel Ray’s This Must Be the Place; David Chang’s Cooking at Home; and Chrissy Teigen’s Cravings All Together. And that’s just the ones by the people most of us cookbook/food television junkies may have heard of. There are so many more to explore! Please be sure to check out your favorite bookstore or book website to check them all out!

3. It was Bread Week! They say, Find someone who looks at you the way Guiseppe looks at his focaccia. (Spoiler: he got a Hollywood handshake for that focaccia, and Paul even asked for the recipe!)
