1. Earlier today I watched the game between Manchester City and Liverpool. It’s so much fun to watch two truly exceptional teams play each other. And it was a heck of a game. And because television technology has come as far as it has, I got to see the end of the game even though it overlapped with the start of the Chiefs game. Because we could rewind the beginning of the football game and watch it all. We are so lucky to be living in 2021!

2. Kansas City sports. While I have gotten wrapped up in soccer for the last few years, I’m still a fan of the Royals. And this year, catcher and amazing human being Salvy Perez has been a home run machine. He is currently sitting at 48, tied with the Royals’ record. There was a point this afternoon where the Chiefs were almost done with their game, the Royals were playing, and Sporting was about to start. Sadly, Salvy didn’t get his 49th homer of the year, but both the Chiefs and Sporting won. And those of us who are fane of Kansas City and all it has to offer definitely won.

3. We are finally watching the new season of The Great British Bake-Off (we didn’t wait too long—there are only 2 episodes that have dropped so far). But I am loving it, of course. I love all the seasons. However, I am a little dismayed that no one on the internet warned me about the opening. Wow. That was a thing that happened. If you know what I’m talking about, then you will understand why DonDon is covering his eyes.
