1. European soccer. Today was the UEFA soccer championship finals. After spending a couple of weeks with the Manchesters and Chelsea and Liverpool and Dortmund and RB Leipzig and company, we were down to just 2 teams today: Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Germaine. What a game! And my favorite German keeper got a clean sheet.
2. Cookbooks! I love cookbooks, and I have some new ones to read this week, and later this fall there are a lot of great ones coming out. I can’t wait! New Alex Guarnaschelli, Martha Stewart, Ina Garten, Geoffrey Zakarian, Gordon Ramsay, Yottam Ottolenghi, as well as several good looking baking books and cocktail books. Something for everyone, and good eating for all!
3. This guy. I haven’t been feeling great this weekend, sinus pain taking me down. So many thanks to my awesome boyfriend, who finished this weekend’s errands and thanks to this guy, who slept on my legs for hours, keeping me on the sofa resting instead of bouncing around doing all the things. DonDon is a healer!
