1. No drama llama. Things have been a little crazy at work lately. There have been changes to our (already tight) schedule, some unnecessary personnel issues, and the whole will-they-won’t-they with the holiday party. There’s not really been any good reason for it, but I think it’s mostly passed us by now. I think (hope) we can just cruise into the new year with far less work drama, which is greatly appreciated.
2. Touchnote. It’s an app that takes your photos and turns them into postcards and cards you can mail out to family and friends (or you can use their designs, if you prefer). I signed up last January, not sure if I would find it worth the money (it’s not that expensive, but I am cheap). And I have loved it. Especially in a year like this, with so little in-person interaction and so much discouraging news, it’s been a great lifeline to just take a cute picture of the cat and send it off to family or friends to say hi and that we’ve been thinking about them and how cute is out cat (very!!). In fact, we have some friends who put all the postcards of our cat on their fridge, and their 4 cats are getting jealous of how much space he gets when he doesn’t even live there (I don’t think their dog minds though). But it’s made me feel so much better this year to have an easy way to reach out, so I will definitely be hanging with them for another year. And sending out a bunch of Christmas postcards later today.
3. And on a similar theme, I feel like I’m usually crazy a this time of year, trying to get everything done and go to all the places and do all the shopping and the cooking and all the working. But this year I am trying to think ahead, plan ahead, shop ahead, and (big one here) let the rest go. So later tonight, or maybe later this week, I will use Touchnote to send out some holiday postcards, with the help of Santa Paws (below), and wrap up some gifts to ship out, and try to get all my work done without having to stay late, and just enjoy a peaceful December week. That will make me very happy. I hope this season brings you peace and love and joy as well!
