1. Hulu. I’ve liked Hulu for a long time, but I was poking around this weekend and found a bunch of great shows. There are so many of the shows I loved through the years—Frasier, The Golden Girls, Designing Women, Animaniacs, Tiny Toons, and Pinky and the Brain (narf!!) So I spent some time Saturday morning spending some time with Cousin Larry and Balki from Perfect Strangers. I loved that show when I was in high school! I look forward to long, cold weekends spent with old friends.
2. I honestly don’t know what took me so long, but I finally bought myself the Hamilton soundtrack. So I’ve had certain songs playing over and over in my head for a week.
3. Sporting KC. They’re out of the tournament, due to a 3-0 loss to Minnesota last week, but I’m still proud of them. It was a rough year, with COVID strangeness, some injuries, and a lot of roster changes, with several young players getting their shot for the first time. They did exceptionally well to win the games they did. They are growing. I really look forward to seeing what they bring next year. And while I couldn’t get what I wanted for Christmas—a new scarf declaring Sporting the champions this year—I did still get a new Sporting scarf, and that makes me happy.
