1. We’ve been watching lots of good tv lately. With a less harried schedule and fewer sports on, we’ve gotten a chance to watch some more Jessica Jones, get caught up with the Great British Bake-Off, and we watched The Mandalorian. All good shows, and I’m happy for the chance to slow down and enjoy them.
2. Although my original plan for New Year’s Eve didn’t pan out (spend the evening on the sofa with the cat, watching tv with my boyfriend until about 9:30, when I would start asking if it was too early to go to bed), we did end up going to hang out with friends, a kitchen filled with tasty snacks, and silly, off-color games. There was lots of laughter, several cats, bundtlets, more cheese and crackers than 6 of us could eat, and noisemakers for the new year. We had lots of fun and have high hopes for 2020.
3. As of Friday, the most stressful part of my work production schedule has been completed, so the next month or so should be easy, breezy with lots of down time to finish long-term projects. I am very much looking forward to that, as having tight deadlines on top of all the holidays is just difficult to maneuver. 4-6 weeks of no overtime, no printing deadlines, and no major stresses sounds like it’s just what I need.
