1. We survived Christmas! Actually, we had a really nice time and I was so happy that we got to have such a good time with everyone here and healthy and plenty of really good food. The weather helped us out, the roads weren’t so bad, and we planned a menu that didn’t stress us out too much, so we were all free to enjoy the day.
2. While the Bundesliga is on an extended break, leaving me without German soccer for several weeks, the Premier League stepped up with extra games for Boxing Day! And today, the Chiefs won and the Patriots lots, so we get a bye week to rest up for the rest of the AFC playoffs.
3. Spent yesterday playing 5 hours of Talisman (not a full game, at least not with all the expansion packs we had out on the giant game table), and it was a lot of fun. We hadn’t done that kind of gaming for a while, so it was nice to hang out with nerd friends and be in a different world for a few hours. A great way to finish up Christmas week!
