1. Last week was not good. I got hit with a UTI, and I think I maybe had a respiratory infection on top of it. Anyway, I spent two straight days in bed fighting a fever and sleeping on and off, aside from the days before and days after where I was just worn down. Honestly, I’m still a little tired. But first off, I have to be thankful for: antibiotics. And telehealth doctors. Since I skipped this last week, I’m doubling up this week.

2. Chewy. We were low on cat treats, and out of the favorite nip ones, so I went to the Chewy app on my phone. I ordered yesterday. This morning, FedEx rand the doorbell with a box full of treats to keep everyone here happy for quite a while. Love that! (I can’t guarantee that it will work that way for everyone. We have a Chewy warehouse here in town, so I get supplies super fast. Just lucky on that one.)

3. While I stayed in bed for two days, I watched reruns of Frasier, the original one where he moves to Boston and has his dad move in along with Daphne Moon. This show has so many great characters and such fantastic dialogue. It was masterful and well worth revisiting. And the one where Niles is trying to decide whether to talk to Maris about having a child and he carries around a 10-pound bag of flour as his child for days? Chef’s kiss! One of my 3 all-time favorite episodes, for certain.

4. This week, we had 2 different local morning shows get let go. I have not been a listener myself, at least not lately, but I was sad to see them go. One was my boyfriend’s favorite and the instigator and teller of some outrageous stories. Johnny Dare, your show will be missed. Thank you for your 32 years of insanity and generosity!

5. DonDon. Our sweet cat kept an eye on me while I was sick, sleeping on or near the bed, which made me feel much better. And my boyfriend was here, asking if I needed anything and quick to order any food I had in mind.

6. Every February, I see the American Cancer Society post invitations to read every day in February to raise funds for cancer. This year I signed up. I read every day, but I felt like I could have done better posting about it. But I did earn a little money for cancer, which made me happy, as I lost a cousin to breast cancer a couple of years ago, it was within a decade that my mother was fighting cancer (she’s cancer-free now), and a good friend just lost his mother to her cancer battle. Keeping cancer research funded is important, and supporting those dealing with the disease is crucial. If you have been touched by cancer or know someone who has, please consider donating to your favorite cancer non-profit however you can.
