1. It snowed yesterday. It was that snow with the big, beautiful flakes that makes you feel like you're inside a snow globe that someone just shook up. It was a perfect snowfall. And just to make it even better, it didn't stick. There was a little on the bushes or the cars at the end of the day, but the streets were clean (albeit a little wet), the sidewalks were clear, and we were free to continue with a lovely spring.
2. Baseball is back! As is soccer. I spent yesterday watching my Royals play in a preseason game, then watched team USA play in the World Baseball Classic (saw some of my Royals there too, as well as on the teams for the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and Italy). And then ended the evening watching Sporting KC in their home opener.
3. Sunday night laundry. I am not a huge fan of doing laundry, or really any cleaning project, but there is something about getting all the laundry done on Sunday evening that makes me feel like I've accomplished something. It's so warm coming out of the dryer, and it makes everything smell so good. And I can rest assured that we are starting the week with clean clothes. I can't control how the week will go, but I can make sure that there are clean clothes, folded and waiting in their respective drawers, to try to add a little softness and comfort to Monday morning. That makes me happy.
