just finished: I just finished reading Mistletoe and Mr. Right. Loved it! I am a huge fan of Moose Springs, Alaska. It’s a fun place to hang out (and if you haven’t yet read her first one set there, Tourist Attraction, there is still time before #3 comes out next year!). I also just finished a thriller, Five Total Strangers, about a group of students who rented a car together to get home for Christmas, and ended up in mortal danger. It’s the first one I’ve read by Natalie D. Richards, but it won’t be the last. I could feel that tension on every page!

currently reading: I’m almost done with a YA rom com called Dear Hero. It’s a hoot! A hero and villain are trying to see if they are a match on an app, like a Tinder for superheroes. It is a lot fun, and very inventive! I’m also reading Plain Bad Heroines by Emily M. Danforth, a thriller set at a boarding school with horror overtones. It’s perfect for October! And I started in on the newest Donna Andrews, which comes out Tuesday. Meg and her crazy family are back for Christmas in The Gift of the Magpie, and I couldn’t be happier!

up next: I have a big stack of new cookbooks to jump into. New Ina Garten! New KimJoy! New Ottolenghi! Pies, Christmas cookies, big flavor! And you’ll hear about them all over the next few weeks. Get your ovens ready for lots of great meals and massive bakes!
