Nate is navigating middle school as best he can. He helps the rookies in detention but can't really find his way as an investigative reporter. His noisy stomach disrupts the class, but his work as the Great Nose-ini, sniffing out potential food allergens, helps save lives. He is a loyal if annoying friend, even if he isn't really Student of the Month material. But most of all, Nate keeps things interesting.
Big Nate: Silent But Deadly is a collection of the Big Nate comics that takes you from Halloween through Groundhog Day, showing all the crazy adventures of Nate and his classmates and friends. It's a fun and entertaining collection for middle graders on up, celebrating the best of childhood as well as the challenges of sixth grade.
Cartoonist Lincoln Peirce uses his clever cartoons to entertain us while reminding us what it's like to be a kid. I loved Big Nate: Silent But Deadly, and I recommend it to anyone who needs a smile, no matter what your age.
Galleys for Big Nate: Silent But Deadly were provided by Andrews McMeel Publishing through NetGalley, with many thanks.
