So I've been talking a lot about cookbooks lately., and for good reason. Lots of good cookbooks are released late in the year, just in time for the holidays (hint, hint). If you're looking for ideas for your Christmas lists, keep reading.
- Mario Batali's Big American Cookbook, which includes some of his favorite regional recipes from across the United States. Orange Crocs not included. Available now.
- Anthony Bourdain, world traveler and celebrity chef loudmouth, gives us his first cookbook in many years. Appetites will be a work of art for its recipes, its photography, and its attitude. Scheduled to hit stores next week.
- Ina Garten's much anticipated Cooking for Jeffrey, finally. The Barefoot Contessa shows us once again how easy it is to be fabulous with this collection of favorite family recipes. Also out next week.
- Marcus Samuelsson's The Red Rooster Cookbook. His Harlem restaurant has long been known for its creative take on comfort food. With this cookbook, he shares his passion and intensity with us all. Available now.
- Jessica Koslow's Everything I Want To Eat. The chef of L.A.'s iconic Squirl restaurant shares some of her favorite recipes from her popular California cuisine kitchen. Available now.
. . . and for the bakers . . .
- Mark Bittman, the man who teaches us how to cook everything, offers us How To Bake Everything. I think that's self-explanatory. Available now.
- Dorie Greenspan, celebrated culinary guru, offers us a book of her best cookie recipes. Dorie's Cookies should hit bookstore shelves next week.
- Candace Nelson is someone you know if you're a fan of Food Network's Cupcake Wars. The owner of Sprinkles Cupcakes (the first cupcake bakery) and original cupcake judge finally gives us a peek behind the counter at Sprinkles with her The Sprinkles Baking Book, also available next week.
