compostable food bowls

These bowls are fantastic. When I ordered, I underestimated their size. I thought it would be a good bowl for a rice bowl, or for a serving of spaghetti, but these are deep. For example, I’m not having the best week. I’ve been fighting a cold and not sleeping well, and I had nothing planned for dinner. I thought I would just boil a package of bowtie pasta and serve it with butter and a little olive oil, and it would be comforting and delicious.

This bowl held the entire package of pasta easily. I nibbled at the top layer, finally putting the rest in the fridge for my lunch tomorrow. But despite all the oil and butter, this bowl never leaked. It never got soggy. And it will make cleanup so easy.

I love that these are compostable, made from sugarcane, so there is no plastic or chemicals to worry about. They can go from freezer to microwave to the table, making dinner easier on everyone. For dinner parties, they would be perfect for side dishes or salads, or you could use it to take a dish to a sick friend or for a potluck. Anywhere you want to take a big bowl of food, from snacks to school or a big bowl of popcorn for movie night on the sofa, these bowls would be perfect. So convenient, good for the environment, and no worries of microplastics.
