drawer dividers

drawer dividers

I like kitchen gadgets. I don’t always use them often, but I like them and I buy them and I put them in my kitchen drawers until I can barely get the drawer open again. I keep thinking I need to go through my drawers and pull out the things I don’t use at all or use only rarely, to make more room for the things I use all the time. But I feel like it won’t take long before the drawer goes back to being overstuffed.

And that is where these drawer dividers come in to play. I can use them to organize as I weed out the kitchen utensils I don’t need, and they will help me stay organized when I add more. Having partitions in the drawers will help me keep things from getting out of control again, and my drawers will look good, with everything I need right at my fingertips.

I could buy one of those pre-made utensil trays for the kitchen drawers, but I don’t like those. They never fit the drawer quite right, leaving space around them which feels like I’m wasting space I could be using. And they look cheap. But with these drawer dividers, I can create partitions in the drawer that don’t waste any space and fit what I need exactly. And at 4 inches high, they’re taller than those other organizers, so I can use more of the vertical space too. Plus, if I move or if I decide I want to organize the drawer differently, I can pull them out and make adjustments to make them work with my new configuration in no time.

Next project: the bathroom drawers.
