This cat scratcher sofa has been such a hit! There isn’t a day that’s gone by that our cat hasn’t wandered over to it, scratched a minute, and then flopped down and looked regal. He loves it, both for the scratching and for the lounging. It’s made him very happy.

I didn’t realize that it doesn’t come fully assembled, but as I pulled the pieces out and saw how it went together, I thought it looked pretty easy. But then I ran into a hitch. My cat came over, sniffed out what was going on, and immediately sat down on the middle piece like he owned it. There isn’t a way to put it together without that pivotal piece, but patience won out, and he finally wandered off to check up on something else.

Once I got all the pieces back, it went together really easily. No extra hardware is needed, as a plastic screwdriver comes with it, along with an extra screw, which I always appreciate. Once I had it put together, which only took minutes to do, the cat jumped back on it and scratched his appreciation.

I love the design, how it looks a little like a chaise or a fainting couch (perfect for when the cat wants to act dramatic, like no one has fed him for days or at least 10 minutes). And it’s perfect for scratching. I can’t emphasize just how much my cat loves this sofa. He literally jumps into it every day, scratches, and then flops down looking imperial. I couldn’t be happier with it.
