french beret

I have bangs. That means that a lot of winter hats make me look ridiculous, bangs pasted down and going over my eyes. I hate that. But I live in the Midwest, and it gets cold. I needed to find a winter hat that would stay on the back of my head, leaving my bangs free but keeping me warm. I saw this beret, and I thought Voila! (Is that right? I took Spanish in school.)

This beret looks beautiful, and it’s nice and warm. I don’t yet know how it will be in a snowstorm, but if I have to be in a snowstorm, then I will be happy to be wearing this hat. It’s soft, and the fabric is doubled because technically it’s reversible, but why would you want to reverse it and hide the flower? At least, I don’t want to hide the flower. I love it, and while I am not looking forward to the cold, snowy winter the Farmer’s Almanac claims is heading our way, I will be prepared to stay warm and dry and look good, even with bangs.
