We have a minibar in our basement, and I thought these subway tiles would add a sophisticated look to the walls. Honestly, the whole minibar looks pretty dated, and I wanted an easy way to dress up the space, make it look like it wasn’t built in the 1970s. And I thought these tiles did a great job.

They were easy to put up. I used some sandpaper on the wall first, to even it out and give the tiles a fresh surface to grab on to. They went up smoothly and easily, and the backsplash looks great. And since it’s a minibar, and there are drinks involved, I’m happy to have those tiles up to make it easy to clean up spills that splash onto the wall (I feel like all those of us who are naturally clumsy can relate).
