vintage clock radio
This is a beautiful clock. The vintage look camouflages some helpful modern features, like wireless charging for a cell phone. It gets FM stations through an antenna that sticks up in the back, has a white noise feature, and reads the ambient air temperature. The display is big and bright, with not just the time but also the day and date and room temperature. It has two alarms with a snooze button and a sleep function, so you can fall asleep listening to the radio and know that it will turn itself off with the timer you choose.
I love the wireless charging. I wasn’t sure if it would work with my phone, since I am clumsy and always keep it ensconced in an expensive case to protect it from me. The instructions said to remove your phone case before you try to charge it. I didn’t, and it was able to charge my phone through the case anyway. I was impressed. (You can also charge a phone through a USB cord, if the wireless doesn’t work for you). I did notice that the wireless charging did affect the temperature sensor. I left my phone on the charger for a while, and the next time I looked at the radio, it said the room temperature was over 90 degrees. When I moved my phone and the clock cooled back down, the temperature went back to normal.
I do wish the radio had a way to connect to my phone’s Bluetooth to play music or podcasts from there, but that was really my only complaint. This is a beautiful addition to a bedroom, perfect for those who like things old school but with modern touches.
