a lovely brit rom com that writes itself

It’s wedding season, and Freya Scott is ready for the summer of weddings that will take up her weekends. The first one is hers, and as she’s finalizing everything the day before, her fiancé chooses that moment to tell her that he can’t marry her. She is devastated. And she still has seven weddings to go to, to celebrate love for friends and family.

Her two best friends come up with an idea to help her through the summer. They set up a series of challenges for Freya, one per wedding, to help take her mind off her misery. During the next few months, she will need to be the last one standing on the dance floor, take someone’s cuff links, make a speech, get a kiss, and run naked down a hotel hallway.

Author Katy Burchall has created this beautiful, classic rom com that evokes those great British rom coms of the ‘90s. This book screams out, “Please make me into a movie! It will be an instant classic!”
