I love a good romantic comedy, and it feels like they’re not doing well in the theaters these days (or maybe they’re not being made?), but the bookstore shelves are full of good ones. I loved this one that came out last summer, and I really hope to see it as a feature film one day. In The Summer Job, Elizabeth Finch needs a job and a place to stay, so she ends up taking the sommelier job that her best friend turned down. Only, she’s not a sommelier. She thinks she can fake it enough to get by, and her friend will never find out. Of course that’s not what happens, and situations ensue. I think this will translate to the screen really well. All it needs is a good producer to make it happen!
Note for producers: please find a fantastic location for this one to add just the right texture for this lovely story.
