And here I am talking about Jessica Darling. These books start with Jessica in high school and end with her as an adult. She and her friends enjoy life through the lens of New Jersey in the 1990s, and there is so much potential for a television series in these characters and their lives. There really is a little bit of everything, from high school through college and beyond. There are first loves and mistaken one-night stands. There are betrayals and apologies, suburban New Jersey and Manhattan, gay activists and Hollywood wannabees. But more than that, there is intelligence, humor, and real heart. These characters are passionate about what they want, and as a reader I got caught up in all of it. I think the would make an amazing television series, and I can’t wait to sit and watch it from start to finish. Hollywood, please make this a show!
