1. My mother-in-law is home from the hospital. Last weekend, when we stopped by, she told us she thought she needed to go to the hospital. She was diagnosed with the flu. We figured they’d keep her overnight, and that would be it. Instead, they were bothered by her low oxygen levels, and she was there for a week. But now she’s back home, with some oxygen, but home.

2. Nebraska won the football. The Chiefs won the football. It was a good football weekend for red Midwestern teams. Both are undefeated so far. It’s a good start!

3. It’s fall, officially. We went to the grocery store today, and the outside was riddled with pumpkins. I’m so happy. It’s m-f gourd season, my friends!
