1. I have spent several weeks rewatching Newsradio, and not only has that been an amazing refuge from the dumpster fire of reality but it’s also been illuminating. The way these characters worked together, the way they walked everything out, the way they respected each other, the way they cared for each other—it’s truly lovely. They accepted each other’s weirdnesses with grace and humor (and sometimes snark and annoyance). It’s smart and funny, and it did go a little off the rails toward the end, but it is beautifully written, expertly cast, and will always be one of my favorite shows. I will probably wait a few weeks before watching it all again. Probably.

2. Animal Control is back. I love that show. It’s heart-warming and snarky at the same time. It makes me so happy.

3. Tacos. I made a big batch of taco meat to take me through the long weekend, and it just makes me happy. DonDon loves tacos too, so I get to have lunch with my cat on these days off, which is fun. I will miss it when I go back to work. That and snuggles on the sofa. The best parts of my days off.
