1. We had some friends over yesterday for beer can chicken on the big outdoor egg and mashed potatoes and veggies and brownie sundaes. We haven’t grilled in a couple of years, and it’s been months since we had anyone over, so it was an event. And maybe we overdid it a little because we’re all exhausted today, but it was worth it. It was good to see our friends and just hang out and talk about our lives. And DonDon got a new ribbon, so he was thrilled.

2. Celebrity Family Feud is back I have been watching Family Feud since the days of Richard Dawson, and while in a lot of things I am a traditionalist, there is nothing like watching Steve Harvey host the Feud. His reactions are hilarious. He takes the show to another level.

3. You Can Call Me Al. I am old, so I remember when Paul Simon came back from traveling in Africa and released his groundbreaking album Graceland. I didn’t know a lot about music, but I knew immediately that it was something special. And this was my favorite song. The video was everywhere, especially MTV, you know, back when they played music, and it’s still one of my all-time favorites. I’m not a huge Chevy Chase fan, but he is funny here, and the expressions on Simon’s face are priceless. I heard this song while we were out doing errands today, and it made me happy.
