1. I don’t get to watch a lot of the Olympics these days, but we have been watching some of the curling. The U.S. men’s curling team is especially fun to watch. These guys look like dads out for the afternoon for some bowling and drinking. They have tattoos, lots of hair, and big personalities. Curling is a quiet sport. It’s very soothing to watch, but watching the men’s team is soothing and fun at the same time.

2. It’s Girl Scout cookie time. We have several boxes hanging around, which we get to enjoy over the next few weeks. Some will last longer than others (there are 4 boxes of Thin Mints, and only 1 box of Peanut Butter Patties, and those go fast!). But it will a sweet time until they’re gone again.

3. Celebrity Big Brother! I don’t watch it during the week, but on weekends I catch up with all the episodes saved for me, and I have to say it’s a really terrible show. It’s all lies and manipulation, and Chris Kattan who didn’t seem to know what was going on all around him )spoiler: he took himself out of the game; it was making him miserable). Watching a show like this, it’s easy to sit at home and say what you would have done or wouldn’t have done. It’s part of the fun. I will keep watching this season, because I’ve come this far (about halfway), and I want to see what happens. But either this brings out the worst in people or these were just bad people before they went in the house. This may be my last season to watch this, but it’s okay. I’ve still got The Amazing Race, which I adore!
