1. This afternoon, we found out that the Philadelphia Eagles offensive line have made a holiday album, and I am so excited to hear it. It doesn’t come out until December 23, so it will be a Blue Christmas until then. But then, it will be all about the football player Christmas music.
2. This weekend was the release of Amazon Prime’s Three Pines. Anyone who reads just about any of my posts may be aware of my love affair with Louise Penny’s Armand Gamache novels, which take place in . . . Three Pines. Two episodes released this weekend, and 2 more episodes will be released each weekend until all 8 are out in the world. Readers of anything knows the worry that the television or movie adaptation will screw up the stories we love. And while there are plenty of people online who are saying they don’t like it (just like for everything else in existence), I am loving this series. This world they created is far richer than the one in my imagination, and getting to see it all come to life is just amazing. I love everything about it so far, and I can’t wait to see the entire first season.
3. My car is in the shop right now, and I am happy about that, because while it will be very expensive, I am hoping this will keep it running well this winter and for years to come. I won’t know for sure until I pick it up tomorrow and see how smoothly (fingers crossed!!) it drives now. With no unwanted lights on in the dashboard. But I’m counting it now, believing that it will all work out well. And it’s paid for, so either way it’s all mine!
