1. The Amazing Race ended last week, and the team we wanted to win didn’t win. But they came in second. Watching these two women, twin sisters separated at birth, who had just found each other as adults, race around the world and get to know each other has been such a gift. I love watching this show, seeing the world and learning about different cultures, but this season was something special, and I am so glad that they got back to racing after the world shut down (I do know that this isn’t the first season since Covid, but I thought that they handled everything really well this season). Absolutely loved this season.
2. We have started watching the latest season of The Surreal Life. It is insane. There is a lot of random drama and Stormy Daniels with her haunted doll Susan. I will be honest here and say that I am really freaked out by Susan. The producers are really playing up her creepiness. It’s also interesting to see the differences in the generations, and to see how those who have been through therapy react verses those who have not (because it is really obvious). I can’t wait to see where all the craziness ends up.
3. I had a bunch of random errands to run on Saturday morning, so I headed out early(ish) to take care of them all. When I got back, I collapsed onto the sofa for the rest of the day (World Cup England v. France, could not miss that one!). This guy came over and napped right there with me, and it was a perfect afternoon. I think he liked it too, lol.
