1. This week is Thanksgiving, so you know what I’m thankful for: mashed potatoes, gravy, and pie. And my family. And the cat, of course. And also: pie.
2. Today, I made my last car payment. Well, almost. The app for my bank only offered two options to pay through the app. I could make a regular payment or I could pay it off and leave the account open. Well, neither of those was really what I wanted. It’s a car loan. I wanted to pay it off and close it. But the app wouldn’t actually let me do either when I put in the payoff amount. So I ended up paying off all but a penny, and I will have to call the bank to have them close the account. But I say: close enough. No car payment in 2023! Next year is already looking better!
3. The World Cup starts tomorrow, and I am excited to see what happens. This is the first time I’m really going to be paying attention, the first time I know some international players, and the first time I’m really going to be engaged with the outcomes. Go sportsball!
