1. There is some good television on these days. There is a new season of Archer and of Bob’s Burgers (does H. Jon Benjamin have the best job or what?}. New season of Hell’s Kitchen. And over on the Netflix, there is a new season of Great British Bake Off. And later this month is the show I’ve been waiting for—Magpie Murders on PBS. It’s based on the Anthony Horowitz novel of the same name, and I can’t wait to see it on my teevee on Sunday nights. (Okay, I’ll probably record them and watch them at a later date, but I’ll still be excited!).

2. Feeling mostly better. There is still some brain fog (I’m blaming the Covid and not just aging and stress) and we’re still more tired than usual. But I think those are the only lingering effects of getting Covid. And I’m hoping October will be a less drama-filled month, and we can get some extra sleep and just relax into winter. The work stress is mostly passed for this round, and we can finish up the last of it this week and I won’t feel buried in work anymore. That will be nice. I do need that.

3. So my car broke. It was an exhaust pipe that needed to be replaced. I took it to the Toyota dealership, and they said it would be about $2K. But she also recommended that I take it to an exhaust shop to see what they say. So I did, and it’s less than $600. It’s good to know that I can trust my dealership, and it will be good to get my car back to normal. Also, while my car was broken, my boyfriend was nice enough to let me use his car to get to work, so he is the hero of this story. Love you!
