1. I ordered new sheets from Ikea. I do love Ikea’s sheets. And since it was a retail store, they kept suggesting other things I might also like. And it’s Ikea, so many of their products are inexpensive. So I also bough hand towels, pillows, and laundry holders. Shopping at Ikea does that to me—I just keep adding more things. And since it’s not costing me a lot, it’s much fun. The sheets are in the laundry now so they can go on the bed tonight, and I am excited. Fresh clean sheets!
2. I have to say it: soccer. Yesterday’s UEFA Championship was epic! Man City v. Chelsea, Chelsea won 1-0, and Christian Pulisic became the first American to play in the UEFA Championship. I think all us Pulisic fans were hoping he’d be the first American to score in a UEFA Championship, but there’s always next year. And if that wasn’t enough soccer excitement for one day, then my Sporting hosted Houston and won 3-2 at home, the first home game with a full stadium in a very long time. It was another good soccer day!
3. This 3-day weekend. We are heading into our busy time at work, so I am looking forward to having an extra day to get some ducks in a row before things at work get too crazy. And I can get a little extra sleep and some more time with this handsome guy below, and charge up my batteries for the coming weeks. Because I will need it this round. I can already tell!
