1. Hibernating! Well, not completely, but we’ve had super cold temperatures all week, with the worst today and tomorrow. We took tomorrow off from work, we did all our weekend errands yesterday when it was a balmy 7 degrees out, and then we came home to stay home. We aren’t going back outside until I have to go to work on Tuesday morning (my lucky dude gets to work from home). It will still be really cold on Tuesday morning, but it will warm back up from there. And until then, it’s pajamas and lots of blankets and Battlebots and Premier League on tv and computer games and reading to ride these frigid temps out. And the snow. Did I mention we also got more snow? Fortunately it wasn’t much, and it does look beautiful, but I’m ready for May.

2. Imperfect Foods. It’s a food delivery service that delivers here to KC (to me, anyway) every Wednesday. I can customize what I get, as much or as little as I want. It includes produce that is less than perfect looking but tastes great. There is a lot of organic food, and if you’re on a special diet—vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, paleo, whatever—they have foods for you. For me, I love getting a mid-week delivery of fresh produce and treats (dark chocolate covered almonds!) without having to stop at the store. I can just come home from work and find garlic bread, salad fixings, meats, cheeses, and sweet treats waiting for me. If you think this is something you’d be interested in trying, you can use this link and get $10 off your first box.

3. Chocolate! My love got me chocolates from Christopher Elbow, my favorite Kansas City chocolatier, for Valentine’s Day. I don’t tell him enough how much I love him, and how much having him in my life has made me a better person, happier and kinder and smarter and covered in orange cat hair, and all because of you. (And DonDon, who supplies the cat hair.)
