1. It was announced several weeks back that Bobby Flay was leaving the Food Network. I know these things happen, but it still made me sad. Then it was announced that he wasn’t leaving, that they had worked out a deal. That makes me happy. I can’t imagine the network without him.
2. Life seems easier than it used to be. I can look up anything by typing a few words into the internet. I can keep up with old friends almost effortlessly through Facebook. I can find exotic ingredients in my local grocer store, or if I can’t, I can find somewhere that can ship it to me. Getting food delivered from a variety of restaurants is easy. At any moment, I can stream thousands of movies or television shows. If I want to read a book, I can download it and start reading right way. Life is good, and I am grateful for the easy comforts, because sometimes you just need that so much.
3. This guy! It was a rough week at work, really rough, and things at home have been stressful as well. But this guy is a constant source of joy and peace. He restores our souls and makes us laugh. I’m not sure we’d be surviving this year if not for him.
