1. A quiet Sunday. Our housekeeper came for our monthly scrubbing (the townhous, not us), so everything is clean. And because Brad had something to do this afternoon, we did all our errands yesterday. Today we didn’t have to go anywhere or do much, and I spent most of the afternoon on the sofa reading and hanging out with a napping cat. It was lovely.
2. Friday we spent the day getting new computers set up at work, so that we could update our software, and for the most part it went smoothly. Next week will the true test, but so far so good. That is not always the way it goes with new computer hardware or software, so that was a relief.
3. This was a crazy week, what with everything that went down in Washington, D.C. and all. I’m not going to get political here, but I do want to say that I am grateful to live in a country where we can protest the government, where we can use our voices if we disagree with something. I do not condone the rush on the Capital, or violence of any kind. But there are many countries where citizens are not allowed to speak our, or to vote, or to gather publicly to make their opinions known. That is a special thing that the country’s founders gifted us, and I am thankful for that.
