1. We spent the weekend binge watching season2 and half of season 3 of Speechless. They’ve been sitting in the DVR for ages, and now with lots of time and in need of distraction, we finally tackled it. The show is just as funny, as charming, and as enjoyable as it ever was. And one of the best parts of watching a bunch of shows our of the DVR, all of the commercials didn’t start with, “In these challenging times . . . “

2. In this time of sheltering at home, we have discovered that our favorite barbecue place that doesn’t deliver and isn’t open on Sundays now has delivery, even on Sundays. Today I feasted on my favorite burnt ends, and the fries were even still warm when they got here. Thank you, Joe’s KC!

3. This was a rough week. My anxiety has been up, and I wasn’t sleeping well. The uncertainty has been getting to me. But then, seeing how everyone else in the country is acting right now, I think it’s getting to us all. The truth is that there’s a lot we don’t know about this disease. Right now we mostly have educated guesses. I mean no disrespect to the scientists and doctors trying to figure it out. It’s just that we literally have so little information. It’s only been months. We don’t know how the virus will react to different seasons. We don’t know how well or how long the antibodies may last. It’s all just a big mystery. All we can do at this point is to do what we can do. I know that’s what I keep telling myself during these weeks that are more difficult.
