1. Gray’s Anatomy is back for a new season. Actually this one is a mixed blessing. It’s set early in the days of the virus ravaging the country, so we see families separated, doctors and nurses who can’t get enough personal protective equipment, and so much frustration. It’s painful to look back on those days, and especially then to remember that it wasn’t that long ago that we were all mandated to stay at home because of all this. And then to know that things are getting really bad again. We know a lot more, which is good, but he numbers keep going up, the hospitalizations keep going up, and we need to do more. Wear a mask, people! Wear the mask!!
2. The woman who owns the company where I work gave us a generous gift card for buying what we need for Thanksgiving. I feel very fortunate that my company is still in business, given how difficult a year this has been. I feel very fortunate that I’ve had a job this entire time, with my full paycheck and all my benefits. I am very grateful for that.
3. Artist Katie Vaz. She is an author and artist, and I really love her work. She’s written The Escape Manual for Introverts, Make Yourself Cozy, and most recently My Life in Plants. And she has an etsy shop where she sells greeting cards, pins, and prints. I’ve bought several of her prints this year, which I am very excited about. I took a photo of this one, the one I got myself for my birthday, which is my favorite. I got several more for Christmas presents, so I cant’s show them here yet, but feel free to head to her store and check some of this out yourself. And happy Christmas shopping!
