How important is setting in a novel? The Big Thrill asked Ruth Ware about setting in her latest thriller, The Death of Mrs. Westaway, and her answer is that she treated this setting as another character. I know I've read a lot of novels where the story could only take place where it takes place, and that is what makes setting so crucial.
