currently reading: just a warning for you all—this is cat week. I realized that I have 3 books to read this specifically about cats and a cozy mystery that came out a couple of weeks ago about a woman and her cat café, so get ready for all the cats. Meow!
I’m reading Shock and Paw, about Maddie, who owns a cat café and who is getting pretty good at solving murders. It’s Christmas time, and everyone is getting into the spirit of the season, except for Maddie, who got roped into helping with the town’s Christmas festival, even after just helping run the big Halloween festivities. But when the local newspaper owner ends up dead, and her journalist best friend is a suspect, Maddie also has to take our her list and try to figure out who’s been naughty this year.
I’m also reading We’ll Prescribe You a Cat. which comes out Tuesday. It is a charming book from Japan about a Clinic for the Soul that prescribes cats to humans who are needing help. If you are a fan of cats, a crazy cat lady, or just someone needing some reading for mental health, then you will definitely want to check this books out.
I’m also still reading But How Are You, Really? which is bringing up lots of college memories. And still reading Heads Will Roll, because I get distracted easily. But these are going to have to wait until next week because: cats.
Just a note about a new cookbook, out this Tuesday: Kim-Joy, from the Great British Bake Off, has a new book out this week and it looks adorable! Kim-Joy Bakes, and she creates tasty treats with adorable creatures. She is colorful and creative and so sweet, and fans of GBBO or baking things that look like cartoons or anime should check out her cookbook immediately.
up next: out soon is new Janice Hallett! new Liane Moriarty! new Sophie Sullivan! and lots and lots and lots of charming Christmas rom coms! Clean off your nightstands, because new books are coming!
