So I’m a day late with this. Usually I do this on Sundays and start off the week with a book review, but it has been a week! After a week full of crazy work deadlines, a mother-in-law in the hospital, my mother’s residence losing power for a couple of days, and a boyfriend who was sick all week with stomach pain and nausea, ending with an ER visit yesterday, we have made it to a new week. (It’s gallstones, if you’re wondering, and now we’re just waiting until his surgery can get scheduled. In the meantime, he has meds for pain and a doctor friend to turn to for advice.)
So I’m behind in my reading. But for this week, I have several audio books, which will help a lot.
Right now I’m listening to Just Some Stupid Love Story, a rom com about a high school relationship that gets rekindled at the 15-year reunion, and this mismatched couple are clearly perfect for each other. It’s a lot of fun, and I hope to be talking more about it tomorrow night.
Up next are the audio books for the new Louisa Luna, Tell Me Who You Are, which looks dark and twisty, and the latest cupcake bakery mystery from Jenn McKinlay, Fondant Fumble. I’m hoping to keep my earbuds charged enough to get through them all!
